The Pineapple

I first fell in love with pineapples after a visit to Charleston, South Carolina. While there, I found out the meaning behind the pineapple- Hospitality- being gracious and generous to your guests.

The pineapple has always been a symbol of hospitality. The pineapple was first discovered in South America during the Age of Exploration by sailors who were fascinated by their unique appearance and flavor. The pineapple was a rare, very expensive import and was not your everyday side dish. It was so expensive that only the wealthiest hostesses could afford them and commoners/middle class had to rent them to display during a special occasion and then return them back to the store for the wealthier class to purchase and consume.

So, back then, if you arrived at a party to find a pineapple on the dining room table, it meant that your hostess had gone to great expense to secure the very best for you.

The pineapple is the symbol of NoteWorthy Paper- yes, because I like them and also because it's meaning resonates throughout my ability to provide you with the very best products and customer service.
